K3RRY and AC6P designed and built the custom interface to extend the functionality of the NHRC-2. It provides external analog and digital computer interfacing as well as fan and operational temperature control. The heatsink for the Maxtrac used for the transmitter was changed to one Motorola originally intended for higher duty cycle usage. By adding two 3.5 inch high-velocity fans, the transmitter is capable of 100% duty cycle. Schematics of this unit are available below:
